Belief in the Oneness of God (Tawheed): The Quran emphasizes the importance of believing in the absolute Oneness of God (Allah) and avoiding any form of associating partners with Him (Shirk). This includes recognizing that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His last prophet and messenger.
Following the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah: Muslims are required to follow the teachings of the Quran, which is considered the final and complete revelation from God, as well as the Sunnah (traditions) of the Prophet Muhammad, which includes his sayings, actions, and approvals.
Upholding righteousness (Taqwa): Taqwa refers to being conscious of God and avoiding sinful behavior. It involves acting in a righteous manner, being honest, just, and kind, and avoiding harmful actions and vices.
Performing the obligatory acts of worship: Muslims are required to perform the five daily prayers (Salah), observe the fasting during the month of Ramadan (Sawm), pay the mandatory alms (Zakat) to the poor and needy, and perform the pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) if physically and financially able.
Upholding moral values: The Quran stresses the importance of ethical conduct, including being truthful, kind, compassionate, forgiving, and just. Muslims are encouraged to be good to others, uphold family values, and be mindful of their speech and actions.
Seeking knowledge: The Quran emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge and encourages Muslims to educate themselves about Islam and the world around them. Knowledge is seen as a means to deepen faith, promote understanding, and contribute positively to society.
Engaging in righteous deeds: Muslims are encouraged to engage in acts of charity, kindness, and social welfare. The Quran emphasizes the importance of helping the poor, the needy, and the oppressed, and promoting social justice and equality.
Being mindful of accountability and the Day of Judgment: The Quran emphasizes that humans will be held accountable for their actions in the Hereafter, and that the belief in the Day of Judgment should motivate Muslims to live a righteous and responsible life in this world.
